When did you start CrossFit?
Last June, two weeks after I moved to Lambertville.
Why CrossFit? Did you do any other sports in the past?
I did swimming and cross country in high school. In the last couple years, I tried online yoga videos then joined various kickboxing and bootcamp gyms in Dallas and San Francisco. Upon moving to Lambertville I sought a gym to stay active not fully knowing what CrossFit training exactly is. I stayed in Jolt because of the welcoming and supportive community. I also love the variety of movements, the flexibility (I rarely do RX hah), and the intensity of CrossFit.
What is your favorite movement?
Bar Facing Burpee.
Do you have a goal that you want to accomplish in 2025? What did you accomplish in 2024?
I started and I consistently showed up – this is a huge accomplishment for me. And after being a Jolt member for 6 months, I joined my first Crossfit competition and my team The Cranberry Queens won our division (novice). Yay! I (squat) cleaned 100 lbs which is also a PR! I hope to have a strict pull up in 2025.
Would you rather do the 5 min bike sprint or 50 Wall Walks?
I don’t want anything to do with the bike. 😀
Thanks for being such a great member of the Jolt Family!
